Imagine
coming home in the evening and having no table to gather around
for dinner with your family, no sofa to relax on, or no bed to sleep
in. For many people not far from our own doorsteps, this is
reality. With this in mind, the Movers & Shakers Furniture
Ministry distributes donated furniture to those in need throughout
the north metro Atlanta area. Further, we desire to
extend a hand of friendship, pray for and serve each of
our recipients, donors, and volunteers.
“Furniturelessness” is hard to say and harder to identify! It’s a problem that resides behind closed doors. But, in 7 years of experience, Movers and Shakers has seen, over and over, families who have a place to live but little to make that place a home. Children sleep on the floor, there’s no comfortable place to relax and families sit on the floor to eat meals. For many people not far from our own doorsteps, this is reality. With this in mind, the Movers & Shakers Furniture Ministry exists to change this by distributing donated furniture to those in need throughout the north metro Atlanta area. Further, we desire to extend a hand of friendship, pray for and serve each of our recipients, donors, and volunteers.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Movers and Shakers is funded completely by generous donations from the public. All donations are tax-deductible. We graciously accept financial contributions and furniture donations.
